OTICON 2024
Background
OTICON 2024, the 61st Annual National Conference of the All-India Occupational Therapists Association (AIOTA), was one of India’s most significant gatherings for occupational therapy professionals. Organized by The Kerala Occupational Therapists’ Association, the three-day international conference brought together experts, students, and practitioners from around the globe.
PR 360 was entrusted with driving media visibility and public awareness for OTICON 2024. The goal was to ensure that the significance of the conference, its scale, and its contributions to the occupational therapy community were communicated effectively to the public. The event also featured prominent dignitaries, diverse scientific sessions, cultural showcases, and socially impactful initiatives, all of which required a cohesive and impactful PR narrative.
Solution
To position OTICON 2024 as a major national healthcare conference, PR 360 developed a comprehensive media communication plan that highlighted the event’s international participation, scientific depth, and community outreach components. Special stories on the importance of Occupational Therapy in everyday lives and interviews and experience stories of experts were placed in different media.
Through effective PR coordination, the event received widespread attention. The communication not only documented the event’s success but also contributed to heightened recognition for AIOTA and the Kerala Occupational Therapists’ Association.
