PT Thomas’ 2021 Election PR Campaign

Background

In the 2021 Kerala Legislative Assembly elections, our PR agency, PR 360, partnered with PT Thomas in the Thrikkakkara constituency to create a campaign that would go beyond traditional politics. Our goal was to tell the story of the man behind the politician, showcasing his commitment to the community and values.

Solution

We anchored our campaign around the tagline “Priyapettavan PT” (Our Dear PT), reflecting PT’s genuine connection with the people. We shifted focus from stiff press releases to creative storytelling, capturing PT’s daily life and interactions.

Highlighted his projects in the constituency implemented and ongoing and  his dream projects

– PT taking the Kochi Metro, emphasizing UDF’s commitment to the metro’s second phase

– Candid visuals of PT engaging with locals, showcasing his roots

– Spotlight features on local welfare projects, like the free dialysis unit in a PHC

Amplifying Integrity and Commitment

PT’s strength lies in his integrity, so we amplified his legislative battles, like his stand against the flood fund scam and work through “Thelineer Thrikkakkara”. We highlighted his fight against private waste dumping in Kadambrayaar.

Engaging the Community

We supported a unique roller-skating campaign with PT’s son, adding a modern pulse to the campaign. Our tireless work behind the scenes ensured PT was always responsive to emerging issues.

Results

PT Thomas won by 59,839 votes, proving that leading with heart and a disciplined PR strategy can solidify a legacy.
